Ritter's fantastic songsmithing quickly amassed him a following particularly in Britain.  In 2006 he was dubbed one of the "100 Greatest Living Songwriters" by Paste Magazine.  He had just released the album "Animal Years" which paid subtle poetic tribute to America.  In 2010 Ritter released his 6th album 'So Runs the World Away'.

Genius Behind The Beatles (Apple Recs)

The Beatles as musical legends go are top contenders.  Perhaps a longstanding key to their success is that each member played a front role and shared the spotlight in addition to their incredible talent.  No one can say too much of unity.

In example, below the this week 70 yrs old Ringo Star (drummer) performs alongside an all star line up (including Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, and Elton John) a hit Beatles song which he sang.  'With A Little Help' is one of few Ringo sang lead on, however, it made its mark.

Introducing Julie Feeney (Mittens/SONY BMG Recs)

Julie Feeney composes fully orchestrated music which has garnered her some serious critical attention in Ireland. Her self-produced first album entitled '13 songs' earner her a Choice Music Prize for 'Album of the Year' (Irish equivalent to the Mercury Awards).  The follow up album 'Pages' gained her a nomination for 'Best Irish Female' at 2010 Meteor Ireland Music Awards.  'Pages' entered the Irish Music Charts at no. 26, and no. 2 on the iTunes Irish Alternative Charts.  She can also be seen in the movie Riverdance.

'Crossfire' by Brandon Flowers (Island/Def Jam Recs)

The first single from Brandon Flowers' solo project is keeping with the fearless, bold, and beautiful nature of hearty singles already released by The Killers (Island/Def Jam Recs).  The music video features Academy Award winner Charlize Theron.

Flowers has insisted that the band will return and that this new album (coming Sept 2010) is merely the manifestation of a deep desire to keep making music and not break for a while.  That said, it's no surprise that great iconic musicians attract the best sort of production.  'Flamingo' has enlisted help from producers including Stuart Price (Madonna, The Killers, Kylie Minogue), Brendan O'Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Train, Pearl Jam), and Daniel Lanios (U2, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson).  All of who will be featured performing instrumentation on the album.  The album also features a duet with Rilo Kiley's Jenny Lewis.
